About the Journal

The primary focus of Environtropica is the tropical environment, either in its natural state or in its exploited form. Manuscripts submitted for consideration in the journal must be devoted to the presentation and discussion of original research or to significant review and interpretative articles. Environtropica views the environment in its broadest sense to include not only the biotic and abiotic components but also the social and cultural aspects in tropical countries. Articles are therefore welcome from pure and applied as well as social scientists. Preference will be given to papers that endeavour to draw attention to the peculiarities of the tropical environment in comparison with the temperate environment. Articles should be general enough to interest tropical workers at large and yet they should be sufficiently substantive to attract the specialist with contents of lasting value and significance in tropical studies.
